Solar panels beside a building at sunset in a snowy winter landscape
HOW IT WORKS

The sun and the ground, working in unison.

One buried asset, charged by your own solar in summer. Heating in winter, cooling in summer - through the radiators you already have.

THE BRIDGE

The bridge from summer solar to winter heat.

In summer, surplus electricity from your roof and from cheap grid hours is turned into heat and charged into the bedrock on your own land, beside the building as easily as beneath it. In winter, the same store delivers that heat back into the building. It fits buildings that already stand, with no new construction.

Charge it in summer. Store it. Heat all winter.

01 · ABSORB
Capture the midday peaks

Solar peaks in short, intense bursts your building can't use. Our Re:notch pipe absorbs them at roughly ten times the power of conventional ground loops, so nothing is wasted.

02 · HOLD
Store it in bedrock, not batteries

Warm, low-grade heat in rock barely leaks. Most of the energy stored in summer comes back six months later, an 80% round-trip efficiency. The bedrock store never ages and never needs replacing.

03 · DELIVER
Heat all winter, cooling all summer

Drawing from a warm store instead of freezing air, the heat pump gives about six units of heat for every unit of electricity, versus two or three normally. That gap is why your heating bill falls 50 to 75%, and the same store cools the building in summer for free.

WHAT'S NEW, AND WHAT ISN'T

Proven parts, connected in a way that never existed.

Bedrock storage, heat pumps, drilling and solar have each worked for decades. What never existed is a system that connects them behind the meter: charging the rock straight from your own solar surplus, fast enough to matter, and dispatching it intelligently across the year.

PROVEN FOR DECADES
Borehole thermal storage
Storing heat in bedrock has run reliably in the Nordics for over 40 years.
Ground-source heat pumps
Standard commercial units from established manufacturers.
Drilling and installation
Routine work with today's rigs, done by partners who do hundreds of installs a year.
Rooftop solar
Your existing panels are the ideal starting point.
NEW, AND OURS
The system architecture
The four-patent integration of solar, high-power bedrock storage, heat pump and control into one behind-the-meter system. Nobody has connected these pieces this way before.
The Re:notch pipe
The component that makes it possible: a pipe geometry that absorbs energy roughly ten times faster than conventional loops. Field-measured with KTH and LTH.
Re:notch dispatch
Our dispatch software decides when to charge, hold and deliver, and gets smarter with every building we run.
The offer
Heating and cooling as a service, at a predictable, index-linked price for 25 years. You buy delivered heat, not a science project.
WHO DOES WHAT

We're not a drilling company. We design the system and run it. Partners build it.

Every role in the chain is held by whoever does it best. Drilling, heat pumps and financing are contracted with established partners. We own the design, the software and the responsibility for what's delivered.

YOU · THE OWNER
Bring the building
Your roof's surplus and the rock below are the raw material. You sign one agreement and buy delivered heating and cooling at a predictable price.
RE:NOTCH
Design, integrate, operate
We simulate your building, engineer the system, supply the pipe and run everything remotely for 25 years. Performance is our problem, not yours.
PARTNERS
Drill, install, service
Contracted drilling and installation firms build the system with standard equipment in weeks, then keep it serviced. Heat pumps and financing come from established names.
